Our beach volleyball program is designed for female athletes who want to build strong fundamentals, improve game awareness, and compete in a high repetition training environment. Sessions are structured by age and ability so each athlete is challenged at the right level.

Age Groups:
11U-14U
15U-18U

Skill Level Tiers:
Performance Tier - Built for athletes with club volleyball experience. Focus areas include advanced skill development, systems, and competition.
Development Tier - Built for athletes who are newer to beach volleyball. Focus areas include fundamentals, movement, and game understanding.

Training Phases & Schedules:

June - Foundations Phase
Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday
4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, 11U to 14U
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 15U to 18U

July and August - Systems and Competition Phase
Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 11U to 14U
12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 15U to 18U

Athletes will train using proven Japanese methods that focus on repetition, precision, and consistency. Each session is designed to build strong fundamentals, then apply those skills in controlled, game like environments.

Program Structure
Athletes will experience a mix of:

High repetition technical training routines
Position specific skill work
Unique Japanese motor skills & movement patterns
Competitive scenarios that reinforce decision making

This approach ensures athletes do not just learn skills, they apply them under pressure.

Court Location: British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)
Court Dates & Times:

Mondays & Wednesdays 5pm-7pm, Sundays 12pm-2pm on the 1 (M), 3 (W), 8 (M), 10 (W), 14 (S), 15 (M), 17 (W), 22 (M), 24 (W), & 28 (S)

Fridays on the 5, 12, 19, & 26

Parking: Park in the Visitors Parking (Free) - Do not park in the orange lot or you will be fined!

16U Boys Nova: 7 pm - 8 pm
16U Girls Bound: 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
13U Girls Kaizen: 8 pm - 9 pm
18U Girls Force: 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm
18U Girls Selects: 9 pm - 10 pm
18U Boys Legacy: 9 pm - 10 pm

* Please arrive 15 mins before your assigned timeslot

Important Notes:

You only need to attend your assigned team timeslot
Required attendance for all both RETURNING & NEW athletes
If you cannot attend your assigned timeslot, you are welcome to drop into another timeslot, but it may not include your assigned coaches or teammates.

On behalf of the entire Hustle Volleyball Club, we want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who participated in our first wave tryouts this year. The energy, effort, and passion each athlete brought into the gym made this one of our most competitive and inspiring tryout seasons yet.

We had an overwhelming amount of interest in this age group, and with so many talented athletes in the gym, our selection process was incredibly difficult. If you did not receive a callback, please know that this does not define your potential or future with us. We truly hope to see you back at next year’s tryouts, and we are confident that with continued hard work and development, many of you will be strong contenders in the years ahead.

We are proud to offer competitive and development opportunities across multiple age groups for both boys and girls.

13U – Boys & Girls
14U – Girls
15U – Girls (2 Teams)
16U – Boys & Girls
18U – Boys & Girls (2 Girls Teams)

Tryouts
All athletes are required to attend open tryouts for roster consideration.

Early Signing
Early signing opportunities are available in combination with tryouts for eligible athletes identified by our coaching staff.

Eligibility
All athletes are welcome to participate, regardless of prior club experience or affiliation.

Club Spots Available
A detailed list of available roster spots and positions will be posted on our 2026 Tryout Information & Registration page.

Tryout registration
Tryout Information

Each registered athlete is required to attend one mandatory tryout session.
Some age groups may have a mandatory callback session if necessary — these will be by invitation only.
We will contact each athlete directly following their initial tryout regarding next steps.

Pre-Registration:
All athletes must pre-register before attending any tryout session.

Attendance:

Attendance at tryouts is mandatory in order to be considered for placement on a Hustle Volleyball Club team.
If an athlete is unable to attend due to exceptional circumstances, please review our Tryout FAQs for instructions on how to proceed.

Arrival:
Athletes must arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled tryout to complete the registration and check-in process.

Refund Policy:

There are no refunds for tryouts not attended.
There are no refunds for tryout fees if an athlete is not selected for a team.

Session Dates & Times:
All tryout session details are listed below.

Registration Details

Cost: $45 + GST & Processing Fees
Prices: All tryout fees are subject to GST and credit card processing fees.
On-Site Registration: An additional $10 fee will apply for any on-site registrations.
Online Registration: Registration will close 48 hours prior to each tryout session or once capacity is reached — whichever comes first.
Capacity Notice: On-site registration may not be available if the session is full. This page will be updated to reflect any capacity changes.
