FAQ
Determining Which Age Group to Play
Athletes typically compete within their designated age group. For example, an athlete born in 2011 would participate in the 14U age group for the 2025 season, ensuring they play alongside peers of the same age and school grade. However, recent updates to Volleyball BC's regulations permit athletes born after September 1st to play down one age group. For instance, an athlete born between September 1st and December 31st, 2011, has the option to compete in the 13U age group.
Request to Play Up an Age Level
In certain instances, athletes may express a desire to compete in a higher age group. At Hustle Volleyball Club, we will consider promoting an athlete under one or more of the following conditions:
If my child decides to withdraw from the club, what is the policy?
Once a player has committed to participating with Hustle Volleyball Club and the club fees have been paid, it is expected that the player will continue their involvement for the duration of the season. The club allocates resources such as registration fees, equipment, uniforms, warm-ups, and travel arrangements, which are non-recoverable should an athlete decide to leave the club. This imposes a financial burden on the remaining team members. Therefore, in accordance with our policy, no refunds will be issued if a player withdraws after the season has commenced.
